Building Character Into a New Craftsman Home

Seven years back, Heather and Juan Salazar found by themselves at a crossroads. Currently parents to two young ones in age of 12, with plans for a third soon, the few realized they required more space than their 1, 600-square-foot residence in Snohomish, Washington, offered. They are able to both update to a recently built residence in identical inexpensive subdivision, or splurge on a fixer-upper in other places. Finally, she and Juan, whom works as a UPS motorist, chose to go two-blocks away—to a Craftsman knockoff finished in 1999.

Wallpaper, $5: Heather covered the wall surface in book pages followed with diluted art glue she had available.

Light, $49: Fashioned from a watering can, this pendant light was an Etsy find.

Hutch, $500: The Salazars spotted this hutch at Costco Residence prior to the outlet string went of company.

Dining table and chairs, $125: The traditional bistro chairs and walnut dining table were all nabbed because of this low price.
