Elegant home Decorating ideas
A surfeit of square footage fortunately isn't important to a stylish design, since this cozy living room in the Atlanta house of designer Lori Tippins proves. In reality, the real human scale of this area plays a role in its beauty, for design can be as much about how exactly a place lives as it's about how it appears to be. Here beauty starts with the bones regarding the space. Sets of French doors flank a little antique marble fireplace for the full movement of natural light, symmetrical balance, and pleasing proportions. The trumeau above the fireplace is an important player obtaining the best proportions, drawing the attention completely as much as exactly the same level once the curtain rods. (It’s in addition gorgeous!) These, too, are placed at the top of the walls, almost a foot over the doorways to skim underneath the extra-thick top moldings. Ornamental elements are few but good. The pair of floor lights, by way of example, were converted from gilded metal candlesticks. The vertical border from the draperies presents color and design in an exquisitely simple manner.
